A Fine Cider Toast: This Week in Poetry by S Francis
Another week (or two or three… it has been a while since I updated A Fine Cider Toast!) and more poetry shared, more connections made, and a renewal.
At Full Beard Lit, I have shared the following:
‘My branches resting in deep silence,’ a first draft poem that reflects on life changes and the hope of renewal.
“To Myself, My Arrow True, Have I Returned” a tribute to the late Neil Peart based on Rush’s last song, The Garden.
One Rainbow, a Throwback Friday poem previously posted at the SailorPoet blog that involves a father and a daughter’s faith in him.
Does Anybody Remember Laughter?, a Prompt response to both Eugi’s Weekly and the Go Dog Go Cafe’s Tuesday Writing Prompts. This one based on Led Zeppelins’ classic live version of Stairway to Heaven.

This week I will be taking a closer look and analyzing my poem posted here in first draft form as ‘What god has chosen me’ and revised at the Go Dog Go Cafe as ‘Darkness Does Great Work’.
I also plan to return to my Into My Own project with the first letter to Mr. Francis from a young boy named Steve who has just written his first poem and might be a little insecure about it.
