I Don’t Remember
Just let me forget, blankness
be okay, the page be empty
as I wish to be right now, as
I am. Hollow for an echo to fill; a
shout, a—> SHOUT <—. A child shouts at
me through silence and I forget
I existed before the silent scream.
that I loved and failed, that I loved
and held him through the night when…

I like this very much. I had to linger with it for a bit, listening to the hollow echoes.

There was a clarity with this one for me, I played around a little bit with the phrasing in the first stanza, but overall… I think it works to deliver what I was conveying. Thank you!!
