Stephen Fuller *** Poetry, Essays

this acoustic life, 5 O’Clock poetry by Stephen Fuller, with audio

turn it off
tune out
live the slow way
breathe in
breathe out
dig in dirt
its wetness
worms gobble
mix it up
organic whirl
so quiet, so true
this acoustic life

tune in
turn it off
glide slide
pen roller ball
across the page
lines or no lines
write over some
trivial point
make it all up
the world’s defined
by your own words
this acoustic life

slow enough to breathe
slow enough to see the heron
slow enough to stop for the turtle
watch it swim among the poi
life distilled like moonshine
be drunk
enlighten
lighten
dirt
smile
the worms smile
this acoustic life

Tune in, turn it off – slow enough to breathe and enjoy life whether lively or calm.

Superb piece and thank you so much for participating, Stephen.
